Have you ever wanted to experience space travel, but NASA’s prices for a Mar’s trip got you down? Then zip up your space suit and shuttle on over to The Theater of Living Arts on Friday, March 20th for the transcendental experience that is EOTO.
Experimental masterminds Michael Travis and Jason Hann are back in cosmic action with their all-live and improvised high-energy dance sets during the east coast part of their Outer Orbit Tour. Notoriously celebrated for being the rhythm section of the String Cheese Incident, this talented pair brings a hybrid sound for your listening pleasure. Rather than using pre-recorded sounds and beats, this dynamic duo creates their unique sounds by looping live instruments through an ever-evolving and elaborate computer software layout. Flying by the seat of their pants on stage, they give you that raw musical experience you count your lucky stars to see.
Hand in hand with their bona fide sound come the otherworldly visual projections that will make you phone home just to share it! This time they’ve included a wide range of sacred geometry patterns and Alex Grey pieces. Helping Travis and Hann prepare for lift off will be San Francisco-based producer Ill.Gates, and ELM, or Electric Love Machine, a Baltimore reigning Psychedelic EDM foursome.
