ATTENTION FLOCKERS: The location of Domefest has been moved from Aldie, Virgina to Sunshine Daydream Memorial Park in Terra Alta, West Virginia. This new venue is even more epic than the last, spanning more than 45 acres of sprawling meadows and shaded woodlands. The new site is burrowed in a lovely valley on top of Greggs Knob, the second highest elevation in Preston County, West Virginia. Boasting a glorious view and a naturalist environment, the Sunshine Daydream Memorial Park also represents a historical music venue that has hosted such renowned bands as Ratdog, The Charlie Daniels Band, The String Cheese Incident, Bela Fleck and the Flecktones, Ricky Skaggs, Del McCoury Band, Keller Williams, Derek Trucks Band, Ekoostik Hookah, Blues Traveler, and The Recipe. This is an extremely family friendly venue where the whole family can enjoy nature, good vibes, and great live music. What better place to get funky with the Pigeons than on 428 Jerry Garcia Way, in this beautiful valley? Talking about good vibes, even the All Good Festival was hosted at Sunshine Daydream in the past! For more information on the new venue, Sunshine Daydream Memorial Park, check out the website www.wefarmhippies.com.
We apologize for this sudden change in venue, but we are extremely excited for Domefest to take place amidst the grand meadows of Sunshine Daydream Memorial Park. On note of the venue change, Greg Ormont from Pigeons exclaimed, “”We are so excited about the new location. We’ve played some seriously epic shows at Sunshine Daydream in the past, and are thrilled to have Domefest there this year. It is beautiful and so laid back… Pigeons Playing Ping Pong once played a six-hour set there, perhaps we’ll have to do something like that again for Domefest….”
